Burned Out?

What do you do for yourself? Do you have a hobby? If you answered "no", I suggest that you invest in yourself--take it from me, trust me!

Having a hobby is not the end-all-be-all, but it truly does help if you are experiencing stress. Yes, you will still have to grade the papers, return parent calls and attend your weekly team planning meetings.

Hobbies feed your passion and your soul. Yep, that's me with my clarinet. There is no way that I would go through life without playing my clarinet. Every week, I enjoy playing with community bands. Nope, it doesn't pay my bills nor will it complete my next project. But, having this hobby of playing the clarinet gives me a sense of purpose and I enjoy it!

Take some time for yourself on a regular basis and BEFORE you become burned out. You will feel much better!
